My current favorite Mexican restaurant in Austin. One of the few spots where one can get huitlacoche. We usually try to get at least one tlayuda and one picadito, which are both standout dishes. The location is in the parking lot of a hostess club, and so we usually order to go, and walk around the nearby outdoor market while we wait. The staff have always been very friendly. Highly recommended.

This was amazing. I was surprised to be the only customer on a Saturday afternoon. The folks running the truck were so friendly and the prices were amazing! Got the huilacoches quesadilla and I couldn't be happier. Will definitely return.

Oaxacan food truck happiness... The good - the tlayudas and picaditos are actually good and pretty legit. The bad - the environs are ripe with the odor of rotting food from trash cans . So, order your food, get it, and go elsewhere

You know the rule: cheap, fast, good: pick 2? They break it. You get all three. Went to the big parking lot of tacos around 12:30 am on at Saturday/Sunday. Apparently the trucks have been closing down at midnight, not 2. One truck still had some guys packing things up and they directed us to this place. It had moved into the yard of the club next to the parking lot. He told us this place was the real deal. He wasn't joking. They were very friendly. One guy spoke English so I didn't have to point and grunt. Better still, he explained a few menu items to us. I got the huitlacoche quesadilla and an asada taco. Holy cow. They did not skimp on the huitlacoche, is a corn fungus that can be pricey. The asada was flavored well, came with the usual cilantro and onions. Excellent and clearly homemade white corn tortillas. Both salsas were considerably spicy. One was similar to jalapeño salsa but I wouldn't be surprised if it had serranos.

It tried the Tclacoyo and and Quesadilla and I loved them both. This place is incredible if you want truly authentic Oaxacan street food.

Very friendly people serving delicious Oaxacan specialties. My kids loved the bean and cheese picaditas, and my wife and I enjoyed the same with pastor. The tlayudas and quesadillas (huitlacoche and squash blossoms) were also tasty. Shade and tables if you want to eat there. Street food for the win!

This place rocks. My husband and I split a giant tlayuda de pollo and the huitlacoche quesadilla. That was plenty for a couple of rather hungry people. We travelled to Oaxaca a couple of years ago and this food is the real deal. Open up that tlayuda and check out all that's going on in there If you don't believe me: beans, fresh cabbage, avocado, Oaxacan cheese - squeeze some of the lime in there and drop in a few of those fresh radish slices they provide if you're into that. The green salsa was WAY too hot for me, but I'm a wimp. The red has a deep smokey flavor. They fold the tlayudas in half and then cut that in half, so it's perfect for sharing and easier to pick up than the traditional open-faced ones. The tortilla is crispy & strong, so it keeps its texture and holds up to the last bite. SO good. This will be a new go-to for us, for sure.

Some of the best food in Austin!! We had no idea this place existed until a random drive on North Lamar took us past a parking lot of food trucks. Like any good, true Austinite, I had to pull over and give at least one of the food trucks a shot & it was SO worth it. Quick Yelp research led us to Mi Sabor. The food was AMAZING! So fresh, prepared with care, flavorful & CRISPY. (Anything with the perfect amount of crisp gets 5 stars from me!) The Chorizo Picadita was my favorite. I say this because I can envision myself eating multiple Picaditas throughout the day, every day. It was light, crispy, and so deliciously flavorful. The Pollo Tlayudas might be one of the best menu items in Austin. No joke. Restaurant owners should come here & take note of how to do things right. The tortillas are made fresh and everything is cooked and seasoned like they've been doing this forever. Sooo good. Carne burrito was amazing! The meat was tender and not over cooked. (I noticed the women sitting behind us had both ordered burritos and they got so excited and did a little happy dance when the burritos can out... so you know they're good.) Can't wait to come back, because I would rather support these people and eat delicious food than be disappointed by most of the restaurants in Austin these days.

Best Oaxacan food you will get in Austin, at a very affordable price! They have huitlacoche, a delicasy, but the tlayudas are the specialty! Very delicious every time I go, and i love ordering a tlayuda and some picaditas and sharing. Everything is at a very generous portion. People running it are very sweet! Mejor comida oaxaqueña que vas a conseguir en Austin, en un precio muy economico! Tienen huitlacoche, una delicia, pero las tlayudas es la especialidad! Sabor muy rico, y estan de muy buen tamaño! Los dueños son muy amables!
